This is my Harrington and Richardson revolver, cal. 32 S&W. Nickel plated, 5" barrel. This baby's likely turn-of-the-century (19th-20th). Proofed for black powder cartridges.

Nice, I've got it's blued cousin also in .38S&W short got a few shells too.

this is my Smith & Wesson knock off. Shoots the .38 S&W cartridge shown. I managed to snag an old box at the Syracuse Gun Show a few years back.

These revolvers reflect a completely different era.

If you wanted a pistol for protection, you just stopped at a local gun shop or store and bought one. You carried it. If someone tried to assault or rob you, you shot them.

Public's view- the crook deserved what they got.

Those were the days.

My grandfather had one in 22LR, one of my cousins has it now.
