Definitely disagree with dave on some things but overall his guidance is pretty good. he has no problem blowing money on toys as long as all your finances are in order and it's with cash.

I dare say over 50% of the country would be in much better shape financially if they followed his "baby steps" to the T!

I agree with one of the YouTube comments (shocker, I know) - get a $1,000 gun and spend the rest on AMMO and TRAINING.

I would like to get a nice custom pistol some day, but I'd rather stock up on ammo first..

I basically do this currently when it comes to certain things. You have to budget for what your goals are / what money you want to have available and when. If you have extra, great -- put that back into a slush fund or emergency savings goal. However, it's better to be prepared then not.
