My "new" converted x39 Saiga

ALG Enhanced trigger, Krebs ambi safety, VG6 Epsilon, and grey magpul furniture.

All in all I'm very happy, the ALG trigger is amazing. Its as good as some of the AR triggers that cost twice as much. I'm not thrilled with furniture but considering I got the whole set for ~$50 I'm not going to complain. The only thing else I would do is get a better rear sight leaf and a fiber optic front post.

What's wrong with the furniture? Looks good to me. Solid, quality AK with modest and practical upgrades.

I like it,,,the only thing I would ditch is that ear splitting muzzle brake and put on a linear muzzle brake,,,such as the kaw valley one from joebobs,,,,they are cheap and they work.

I like the gun though and the furniture color doesnt turn me off,,,, the grey is fine

Ive got the VG6 cage device that really cuts down on the side blast if I'm shooting around others.

I really wish ALG would do a 308 compatible version of their Galil trigger. I have always preferred a single stage.

I like it, @Prudii, for what it's worth. I think the magpul furniture is kinda bland on an AR, but looks good here. Can always swap it later.

Personal preference I guess. I do find single stage triggers better suited to rapid, cadenced fire. I also find a single stage more predictable in the way it breaks.

Saigas are always great guns. crude like any AK but superior steel from the motherland.

I wouldn't say AKs are crude exactly. Simple maybe. But the machining quality on Russian, Polish and Bulgarin rifles are excellent.

lets say spartan and robust. machining marks are always there in trunions and gas blocks that have zero impact on the actual gun and function. That is what I mean with crude. nothing bad in this case really.

russian steel is far superior to others like tula or iszmash. We know because how fast chews through cobalt and carbide bits
and tools.
