There was 1 instance were I recall him railing about H1B visas and having software engineer immigrants bringing down wages of Americans, not sure if that is what you are referring to.

I don't think Trump called for a full on ban. IIRC Trump actually called for a 90 day suspension from muzzy countries until the admin looked into the situation. Protecting his country and its citizens... what an asshole, right?
