I have not seen a thread on this but a few guys have mentioned how much they have liked them in a thread so I figured I’d highlight my thoughts.
I ordered the Wilson combat grips for both the 365 and the 365xl since own own both guns. I also reluctantly ordered the tungsten weight kit and added them to the 365 grip. I only ordered one tungsten weight kit. My thoughts are I love them. The grips are great. The grip is improved in many ways. The beaver tail is better, the back strap is more textured, the look better, are more solid, have more meat and give you a better grip. I also feel like the grip is designed for you to grab the gun properly out of the holster as where the factory ones don’t really do that. There is a depression for where your thumb is supposed to fit and mine does that naturally. My support hand is able to get more meat on the grip.
I order the weight kit becuase I figured why not. They fit very loose on n the grip and I wasn’t pleased at all. What I did was try to out a bit of export on the top to hold them in but it kept sucking in the the weight bar and I didn’t want that. I even let it set up and it still did this. So I took metal duct sealing tape and rolled the round weight in it about 1.25 wraps and then at the top I did another full wrap with about .25” of the tape and the fit perfectly. They seat with no wiggle. I like it for the 365, but feel the weights are unnecessary for the xl.
I also swapped the slides so I have the 365 short grip with the weight kit and the xl slide set up and man do I love it. I’m in love and this and is the perfect set up for me. The way I have it now it balances so nice in the holster and in my hand, and it feels way lighter than the xl alone. What this does is it allows me to carry an extra mag and still feel lighter. So my set up is the gun and three spare mags with more comfort than the gun and two mags. I picked up ten rounds.
Oh and the gun is way sexier looking than with factory grips.
My only minor complaint is the 365 is lacking the mag well that the xl has but so is factory so I’m guessing that’s because the grip is shorter and not do to width. I feel Wilson combat could have done the mag well on the 365 grip.
Any questions let me know.
