This was inevitable once AcMac left the NRA as the NRA doesn't actually run NRA TV, the ad agency does.
Another interesting thing to follow will be next year's NRA Show. Again, the NRA doesn't do that -- AcMac does. It'll be a lot to take on to put together a show that big with people who have never done it before....

Big money donors are getting together to stop the cash flow demanding that LaPierre and his senior leadership be removed.
Looks like (unverified) something to the amount of $134m in pledges (between cash and estates promised later down the line) is being halted, with all but one of the donors staying anonymous right now.

When Wayne and cronies are finally ousted the new leadership must conduct a forensic audit into all the lavish spending and executive contracts. On the surface Looks like a good case for malfeasance and all contracts/golden parachutes should be voided. No way wayne should walk away with millions of dollars.
If and only if that happens will I start to work on looking into the NRA, along with a few other minor things.
Sad part is LaPierre is going to do 1 of 2 things
1) stay cause fuck it. Maybe get voted out next time but doubt it, so hell stay

2) cut them a deal, he keeps all his benefits and retirement and pension and shit to "retire on his own accord"

Corporate Governance 101. I broadly agree with you. Transparency is key to good PR.
With that said- if the board is serious and independent, this investigation should occur now, not post mortum.
Part of the problem- the board may be too damn big. OTOH it is a large institution with literally 5 million members, each of which is in one or multiple shall we say sub-constituencies so how do you ensure you have a good cross section of the membership represented on the board?

Agreed again. I can't believe I might actually wind up siding with Chris Cox.
And to @Edwardteach72's point- I would like to think he has a contract or agreement of some sort and in it there are provisions not only for removal from office but also revocation of severance and benefits, etc.
The board isn't independent that's the problem.. most of them are hand picked on there by LaPierre as yes men.. there are a few that are trying to stand out against him, such as Timothy Knight and because he has been vocal in opposing LaPierre he is already receiving a lot of backlash from the BoD
A bit hard to read. But another Board Member has been removed from committees because they expressed issues with the current leadership at the NRA and that WLP needs to be removed...
If even still you are backing the NRA or making up excuses or even apologizing for them, well then I have some bad news you are on the wrong side of history.

Every one of the BoD needs to be removed. They're all swimming in the knowledge of fiscal improprieties and therefore they're complicit to the acts of those guilty of misappropriations.

Yup, LaPierre has his heels and claws so dug in after 30 years as the VP and strategicstra put people in positions to protect himself that the only way to fix the NRA is completely tearing it down to absolute nothing and then building a true 2A organization under the same brand name That's the only thing they have going is the name and that's all that should be kept (there are and have been a very small handful of BoD that have been vocal for some time before all this started becoming more open who truly wanted to fix things)

I believe Mr. Mills just freed up his calendar a bit as he likely won't have any more committee assignments.
Yup I am guessing next Wednesday he will recieve a letter with what committees he will be assigned to and it will be none of them

In spite of all the negativity, I'm still hopeful things will get turned around and NRA will cut the wasteful gravy train, and get back to their core missions.
Its a good sign that a lot of the directors (still less than a majority, and not anywhere close to 2/3) are speaking out against the establishment.
