I wonder if when CT loses this in the district court, New York will pressure CT to just take the L and not appeal it to the 2nd circuit.
By doing so (well not doing so depending on how you look at it) CT losing at the district level and just accepting the loss would help preserve NY magazine and AW ban for a bit longer.
But if CT loses and appeals to the 2nd and loses again (which based on the Bruen decision they should) then they just screwed NY bans in the process.

Or they will say sure, take it to the top. 3-5 years later, if its even heard at all. They are hoping that another Justice retires or dies by then so they can tip the balance...or the easy way pack the court.

There’s a defeatist and then there’s a realist. It’s hard to stay positive in this state as a pro 2a individual. The governor spit in the face of the Supreme Court and nobody stopped her. The ruling in bruen said you can’t just make everywhere a sensitive area and hochul did just that without any consequence. A judge looked at the case and said yea it’s unconstitutional but nothing I’m going to do about. When’s the last time gun owners had a win in ny? I’m not being a defeatist, I’m being realistic. NYS said ok, we have to issue you a permit with this Supreme Court ruling but we are going to make it almost useless.
What is to stop NYS from just continuing to ignore any court ruling against them? I’m not trying to be a smart ass, I genuinely don’t know of any consequences if NYS ignores any new court rulings and restricts the 2a however they see fit.

Dude. Don’t be so sensitive. It’s a forum. As such there are a variety of opinions. I appreciate your threads. The negativity is toxic, but that what happens when you live a tyrannical leftist state like NY. I for one would love to leave this state. But I’m here for nine more years. I still have hope things will turn around. But I also know it’s not going to be an easy fight.

That is why there are sections of the forum. If you aren't interested in those topics you mentioned, you don't need to open and read them. Just move on.
Though, there are times when things do get posted in the wrong place. I've been guilty of that too.
When I've modded forums, I'd play organize duty to move things into their correct locations that match up with the discussion.
It is healthy to have a forum where people can express their views, because it brings more people in, so when something gun related does occur, it can have the opportunity to spread.
I can say, I like this forum and a majority of the folks on here. Very like minded as myself.
You get rid of that opportunity, the forum gets stale and then no one but the "regulars" go to it. Ain't how a forum works. I've seen lots of forums die because of this.
Even some die because the posters and owner of the forum was in their 90's... and they died of old age. LOL

Teach. I for one appreciate the time you have and do invest in following specific 2A lawsuits, in addition to the analysis you provide and followup. The posts are informative, insightful and seemingly unbiased. I would hope you would reconsider you position as I for one find the extremely valuable. Additionally, since I've failed to mention it, having them condensed invest one thread constantly updated provided a thread I believe was worth pinning. Reconsider your decision.
