The really, really sad part, is that if anyone predicted our current situation a few months ago, we would all laugh.

It seems state electoral votes will be due by December 14th. It also seems some states less affected by the Chinese flu will get to vote.
If the above scenario transpired, the bestest most greatest outcome would be if President Trump won his 270 electoral votes without any opportunity for votes from NY or CA. Trump reelected and no input from the deepest bastions of hate.

I'm surprised no one else brought this up. If the elections are delayed in the scenario you proposed, SHE WILL NOT BE SPEAKER. She's running for reelection too and would not be holding that office. So, what I read in this scenario is that President pro tempore of the Senate, Chuck Grassley, would be the one to assume the office since he is not up for reelection.
