If you really study the pictures you can tell the shoes are not that different. Yes the color appears to be missing in the SV. Look at the strip vs the end of the laces and then look at the PUMA shoes used in the pictures. Look at how the end of the stripe is squared off at the end of the laces vs the PUMA has a large radius that ends long before the end of the laces. The problem to me is the perspectives of the two cameras are completely different and never give you the same angle of the shoe.

I opened both videos side by side on two monitors to avoid the pieced together conspiracy video. The only difference I can come up with is the missing color which while she is standing would be covered by the pants.

What kind of society have we created when we're talking about hardening schools so criminals can't murder children, while at the same time our government at every level of prosecution and jurisdiction is letting hardened, violent criminals right back on the streets before the ink dries on the finger printing card for the last crime they committed?

We're going to turn schools where innocent elementary kids are taught their ABCs and 123s into prisons with armed guards, while we've essentially turned the actual jails and prisons (and court houses), which are replete with armed guards, into revolving doors so violent criminals can go commit more crimes.

All while blaming inanimate objects and banning the only effective means of immediate defense against blood thirsty murderers who will always have the advantage of time while police try to respond.

I am not railing against keeping kids safe in schools or otherwise. A People that does not protect their children is doomed. Its the utter willful ignorance and moral bankruptcy that is on display that is the real horror show.

Preaching to the choir I know. But lets pretend that we make our schools the most secure super-max "learning" facilities ever, such that they are no longer soft targets. Anyone want to argue that terrorists won't be able to still murder children?

For starters, for any determined and trained terrorist or other violent criminal, there is more than one way to skin a cat. Secure facilities can be breached through stratagem, through artifice, and by criminals being down right sneaky.

Further, how far are we going to take this? Are we going to "up armor" school buses? Arm bus drivers? Anyone want to say that the drop off and pick up point for kids to get on or off their school buses isn't a soft target? Shall we build underground or above ground, secured depots where the busses disembark their cargo in concrete and steel bunkers? What shall we do with public libraries, amusement parks, public parks, zoos, movie theaters, outdoor school sporting fields, open air festivals and fairs, farmer's markets, and on and on?

Also, we ought to remember that "personnel is policy." Try as we might, it is almost certainly impossible to stop an "insider" attack, that is, one perpetrated by a trusted guard or other employee of any given venue who has a bone to pick and the will to kill. Background checks and all other means of screening are not full proof by any stretch of the imagination.

It becomes apparent that hardening the schools is not a panacea, and that the list of soft targets is so long that it is, as a matter of practicality, impossible to provide the level of security needed to stop terrorists and criminals hellbent on killing innocents, children or not.

It also becomes apparent that we're blithely walking into a police state.

Maybe the men who founded our nation, the Founders and the average men both who handed later generations a free society, were on to something in their treatment of crime and self-defense.

Maybe murderers, kidnappers, rapists, sexual perverts, armed robbers, etc. ought to be duly tried, and then duly executed. Not only as a deterrent and a warning to other criminals, but to keep the streets permanently clean from the menace that convicted violent felons represent. Maybe we need to bring back public hangings, and make frequent use of it given that there is no shortage of violent felons stalking innocent people in our streets and neighborhoods. Yes, there are always going to be violent criminals, but we can clean up the streets by getting rid of the trash that have already been caught and found guilty.

Maybe the law-abiding common man or woman ought to be armed just about everywhere and at all times, so he or she can maybe bring evil murderers under fire long enough for the cops to show up with backup if he or she can't take care of the problem before they can get there.

Justifiably executing (after a fair trial) the violent and perverse who prey upon innocent people, and a broad based strategy and determination to allow self-defense at the point in which a violent crime takes place (rather than waiting for the cavalry) sounds to me like a better solution than ineffectively locking the entire country down behind steel doors, metal detectors, pat downs, and so on.

Nothing is full proof. In reality, there has been and never will be a crime free society free from murderers.

However, when seconds count its better to have some chance than none at all.

Let every law-abiding man and woman be armed.
