My buddy and I are both new to thermals and he is pretty excited about night hunting after I killed a yote a couple of yards behind his house.
So we are at the planning stages for this years Bobcat season.
Anyways, I got elected to find a place to hunt Bobcat and a place to stay while we are doing it. The very little research I've done so far states there is 5 Bobcat in every 100 square miles of the Adirondacks and that there is 16 Bobcats for every 100 square miles of the Catskills. So I chose the Catskills as the better option.
Obviously we will have to hunt state land.
Does anyone know or can point me to a link of a map for where we should go?
If you know of a place we should go, can you also point me to a place we could stay. Don't care if its a cabin, cottage, motel or whatever. I'm thinking no tents being that we would also have to buy a stove at that time of the year to keep warm.
Has anyone on this board ever called one in and did you shoot it?
