New Acquisition: RIA 1911 A1 9mm

Found what I think was a decent deal on Gunbroker. Picked this over a .45 due to ammo cost and I’m still working my way up in calibers. Interestingly I found that this one has a rear night sight. 340 shipped to my FFL. How did I do? And on another note, any good recommendations on an left handed or ambi safety?

That is about what I can build one for. Rock island has ambi safeties for about 40 bucks.

I have this same gun but in 45. Bought used off gunbroker. I shouldn’t have been bidding on it, I really wasn’t looking to buy it.

But no problems otherwise.

You did well My father has one and it shoots very well. It Functions more reliably than my R1911 that cost almost double.

I have the same handgun, but in .45acp. I love that pistol. I've never had so much as a hiccup from it. I think ya done good, and will be quite happy with your choice.

The gun. RIA has a tactical series guns and I like them.
The MS 10mm is cool, but maybe some day I’ll get the CS 9mm.

Oh, right, lol. Mine is a Tac II. For the features on this gun, you'd think it'd cost a lot more than it does, that surprises me. It's so smooth in every way. It basically has every feature I've wanted in a gun since I started shooting my Shield. I love the sights, grips, and trigger the most. It's definitely a worthy investment.

$340 is not bad. The grips look rough but you can change those pretty easy.
