The AGM thermal monoculars aren't rated for recoil, so I wouldn't mount one on a weapon.

Pulsar has a nice thermal OBJ mounted clip on that's 640 resolution with a BAE core (Krypton) , but it's not available for purchase in the US yet.

Nothing tonight but bedded down deer and a fox crying about 15yds away from me in the hedgerow,
that I never saw. This is my worst property to hunt for yotes but the best place in NY state to hunt Chucks come spring/summer. There is no woods. Trees you see are hedgerows.

Went out shed hunting with my brother and a friend, so I decided to take the thermal along to see how it would work in the daylight.
Only one bar down after using it for 3 hours.
I spotted these deer that were bedded down about 500 yards away.
Got to within 30 yards before the wind shifted.
No sheds found, but it was a beautiful day to be outdoors getting used to navigating with the thermal in the head mount.
This thermal is ideal for detection and with a bit more practice, I'll be able to navigate through the woods better.

How comfortable was it when head mounted? I'm surprised that you arent or at least this time you werent using a power bank with the nightcap. I should have mine put together Tuesday or Wednesday.
It's pretty cool catching deer beded down in the woods you can't see with the naked eye. Showed my buddy one day when we stopped 4 wheeling to have a beer. He loved looking through the thermal at them.

I've been using headgear with NV for a long time, so I'm used to wearing it and the 40 degree view of NV, but with the lack of depth using thermal, it's a lot different walking around the woods, especially woods with a lot of clutter and blow downs on the ground.
I was ok yesterday in the daylight, as I could see with my free eye and move around it quickly, but at night it's a different story.
No issues walking in an open field.
I spotted those deer with the thermal and even though we knew they were there, we couldn't see them with the bino's.
At night, as you know, thermal is king.
Your going to really enjoy having hands free thermal.
So I got everything all put together, as you know it cost me a million bucks and since it did,,,Im not overly satisfied with it yet. It needs to be messed with a little more than what I did. I will figure it out but basically the part of the mono closest to my eye needs to go like a 1/16th to the left and the objective lens needs to go a 1/16th to the right. Its very little adjustment and I think I can manage it by pulling on it a little bit with a bungie when I figure out the right spot to connect the bungie. Cant mess with it anymore tonight because I just introduced myself to a guy thats hooked up with one of the local farming companies daughter and they own a ton of land in a 30 square mile area. So basically Im going to take him hunting in an hour on the farmers property because he lacks certain tools (a caller) to hunt the shit load of coyotes he says he has running around where his chickens are loose.
Being that the mono isnt exactly where I want it,,,Im not looking through it perfectly straight which prevents everything from focusing perfectly,,,,who knows,,maybe my head is cockeyed

I had to put 1/8" spacers in between the cradle and the center post to get it inline with my eye.
Just loosen the cradle screw until you get it lined up and take a measurement for the spacers.
You'll need a spacer fore and aft of the cradle mounting bolt.
