So, revoking their DL will keep them from driving? How many news article have you read about people being ticketed multiple times for driving on a revoked DL? These people don't give a frick; they will never be put in jail, in NY, for driving on a suspended/revoked license. They know this, so it's a non-issue. Hell, you guys don't put people in jail for armed robbery! Maybe, just maybe, seizing the vehicle with very heavy fines to retrieve it might make a difference, but NY does not have the stomach for that....disproportionatley affects the poor and minority drivers.

Either jail them for driving without it.

Or eliminate the entire system.

Besides... Does NY believe auto manufacturers will make "NY" models, compliant with such a ridiculous law? I guess they would, see California, lol (answering my own question)

Ultimately, less and less vehicles will be sold and registered in NY. People with friends and family in nearby States will suddenly have 10 cars, hahaha, and those jurisdictions won't mind at all the extra revenue. Some States though, their insurance laws, require proof of presence now... oh well, but Anyways...
