New Bremen Fish and Game Club work day 29 April

the range will be closed all day for repairs and maintenance. Work day starts at 0930 and goes until completion. All the target backers are going to be replaced. The pistol target lanes are going to be reworked and some new steel targets will be hung at 200 and 300 yards. Grab your work gloves and any yard maintenance tools along with a hammer, chainsaw or whatever else you have. We will grill hamburgers for lunch. Everyone is welcome to pitch in getting the range back into shape.

The Annual Membership meeting will be conducted right after work day concludes.

My Club has our spring work party the following weekend! We have been getting some good turn outs the last few years. Must be my Charm at the new member orientation classes that I give with another member/instructor.

We normally get 12-15 out of 80 members. Of course when I joined I didn't know about the work day until 2 years later.

When I became president of the club we posted the date in the rules. Hopefully we get a good turn out this year.

I just picked up 3, one inch thick 6"x6" steel targets for the 200 yard line.

Range maintenance day was a complete success. Great weather to do what we needed to do.

I want to thank all who came out and worked on the range today. It was a full day and everything on our to do list was completed.

All new target backer boards at 100, 200, 300, 400. New steel targets hung at 100, 200, 300, 400. Brand new pistol target boards and setup, now targets can be placed in 5 different positions at 7, 11, 15, and 20 yards with two target holders at 25 yards as well.

The ruts were smoothed out with a 4 wheeler and a drag bar by our Club Secretary. All the bowling pins were brought in out of the weather into nice dry storage so they will last a while longer and be used as targets instead of rotting away.

The plumbing was completely rebuilt by our Club Vice President and Treasurer.

A membership meeting was conducted at the end of world day. New projects and the club event schedule was discussed as well as fund raising events that will be upcoming.

Again I want to thank everyone who was able to make it out and work today. It is what makes our club better for all that shoot there.
