A new bill called the “For The People Act of 2021” contains a cleverly written provision that prevents Congress from passing legislation in the future that would prevent states from passing laws against the counting of ballots received more than 10 days after Election Day.

Catch that? In other words, if states want to count ballots received 10 or more days past Election Day, then the Congress would not be allowed to stop them from doing so.

I actually don't even give a shit, even up to 30 days.

What I give a shit about is verification. What I give a shit about is why a presidential election doesn't require voter ID, yet there is intense scrutiny over a recall election in CA by the same state officials that didn't seem to think voter ID is as big a deal.

It's the combination of the two that is exponentially disturbing.

Sure they can count up to ten days after but i expect equal protection under the law and every voter needs to provide ID, a background check, a Psyc eval, 24hrs of voter training, insurance to vote and pay a registration fee of $800 for every time they vote and are limited to electing 10 officials in their lifetime.

I'm more or less in the same boat. If we allow mail in voting (and we already have for the disabled, service members, etc.) They shouldn't lose their vote because the USPS (a govt. agency) can't deliver the letters on time. OTOH I'm also in favor of verifying the person voting is legitimate.

you left out Safe Voting Storage .. you have to store your vote in a Liberty Safe until its time to cast it . which means you have to take the Safe to the
your voting center .. then you can open it and cast your vote ..

The only reason they want a law like this is democrats are lazy, stupid and can't follow laws and rules. It also allows them the opportunity to rig an election after the fact when they lost on the actual due date. What democrats and liberals are doing is a political Darwin event on the Constitution and the republic. There will be more laws undermining the work of the founders of this nation.

Don't confuse the two.

Absentee Voting has verification requirements starting with the voter has to REQUEST the absentee ballot, and it is verified through voter registration, signature verification, etc.

"Mail-in voting", as we've seen this last election, has none of those security checks, and should be illegal.
