Devices like this I still worry about the ability to accept magazines. Once the old magazine has been removed and before a new 1 is inserted technically the gun is able to accept magazines. If One was to close the action back up and put the rear take down pin back in before inserting a new mag would be in violation of the safe act.

Once again, in order to be in violation he has to accept a *detachable* magazine. The ability to simply add a fixed mag is not a forbidden feature.
If you're really worried about it, separate the upper before removing your fixed mag, you will never have a semi auto rifle that could accept any magazine at that point.

Cool idea! Only thing that concerns is the small plastic tool used to remove the mag, seems like it's super easy to misplace.

I would wager FC might stand for Fuck California given that the brand is LA Police Gear and he states that it is to get arounf California's gun laws.
Just a plastic shim you can probably make yourself if lost.

How does one reload a fixed magazine AR? Get a dingus that lets the magazine drop free when the action is opened? or do some kind of funky top load with the upper off?

It's why I decided to go with the Yankee Hill takedown pins. Pull the rear one, hinge the upper forward, load top-down. Not ideal, but also nothing to get pinched over.

If you guys have any questions about the FC hook fire away. Thank you to the forum for allowing a "Californian" to join. Which is surprising. I can call a shooting supply dealer in Texas to ask why I can't order a QD sling swivel from his website. When he finds out I'm from California, in his deep Texas draw, he's like "F--K California! I don't ship nuttin to California! Y'all can go F yourself!" What can I say. It inspired me.
