Big money for those guns.
I saw a Marlin 30-30 at Walmart brand new $350. Looked it over and I was impressed. I was going to buy it but the 20-something year old kid behind me said out loud that gun was why he was there. It was the last one the store had. I stepped away and wished him good luck with his new rifle.
Steve's Gunz | "The Rossi 92 Specialist"I'm kinda scared now buying more crap. I wanted a small carbine to go along with my SP101 357 when out in the woods so I Bought a ROSSI 92 SS 16.5" 357 last year off of gunbrokers for $600.
I have bought a lot of stuff from them so the problem is not with Gunbroker, its with the ROSSI piece of crap carbine. Biggest piece of crap design I have ever seen. I have not been able to get 2-3 consecutive shots without a jam. Tried a half a dozen different ammo types. Taken it apart at least a dozen times. Smoothed out the action but nothing. The cartridge guides and carrier could have been designed by a 10 yr old kid. They are so rough and misaligned that its a miracle that I can get one round to line up with the bore and seat properly. So its become a dust collector.
I had read before buying, that a few people had similar issues. But figured I would take a chance. I should of waited and gone with the Taylor like I originally planned.
Yup. Only guy out there that is willing to work on them. About a 9 month wait and approx $300. Don’t want to sink that kind of money into it. Got to look into my options. May give it to Dad for use as a tomato plant stake.

Or maybe you could try JC Blauvelt
I've got the blued one and like it a lot. The insides looked like they were chewed out by a rat with bad teeth (some of the burrs were over 1/16" wide!), but after I gave it a fluff and buff, it runs like a champ. Next, I'd like to make a steel follower to replace that plastic one in the magazine tube.I'm kinda scared now buying more crap. Rossi are great guns as long as you don't use them.Yup. Only guy out there that is willing to work on them. About a 9 month wait and approx $300. Don’t want to sink that kind of money into it. Got to look into my options. May give it to Dad for use as a tomato plant stake.
Reminton realized the problem with their Marlin production equipment too late and the brand name was badly damaged because of this. They have gone in and retooled to the origional blueprint specs to correct the Quality problems. I have been waiting for them to reintroduce the lever guns in .357 since I read about their plans to get back to blueprint specs.

I’m a lousy believer in karma. Why would I sell it to someone else knowing there is a problem with it. I was thinking about selling it but disclosing that it doesn’t shoot.
If this is true I will give them a look. I will probably wait a few years to be sure they have the kinks worked out.
