Their argument will be "it's only one less than other state's mag limits" while effectively limiting the number of firearms which will be available in the state. I can't see Ruger retooling their mags for something like the Security 9 Compact for just one state.

It's only a proposed bill and yes, it's always a democrat that introduces these types of bills. Anti-gun bills get introducted every session here in Utah by the almost microscopic democrat minority. Wherever there is a democrat there will be anti-gun bills.
Life as a gun owner in the vast majority of the US, even New Mexico, is immeasurably better than it will ever be in NY for the forseeable future. But StAY aND FIgHt. So sick of posts like that. Obviously federal laws are a different matter, but to stay where your rights are continuously ignored and trampled at the local level and then criticize others for trying to improve their lives, is fucking petty and sad. I'd put them on ignore but I wOuldN't WAnt tHem tO ThINK I wAS vIrTuaLlY MOviNg tO a FrEe StATe by doing so.
