I personally don’t think that this has much to do with the crime rate and shootings dropping but what do I know. Sure shootings and crime are down, but hanging out at an intersection for 15 minutes is likely not the root cause.
To me it sounds like Hochul jumped the gun and didn’t need to pass all those gun laws because we’re headed in the right direction already. At least this article points out criminals in a small area are the problem and not us. Will politicians pay attention to that or change their approach? No, because it’s not about reducing crime.
