Just picked it up today.. Fit and finish is Typical Mossberg 590... gonna get around to shooting it sunday it looks like it..

But it definitely has a high giggle factor considering what we can own in New Yorkistan

You can some times find them at gun shows, but they are crazy expensive. Also target sport USA has them from time to time.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the purpose of the mini-shells? More rounds to chamber? Reduced incidence of collateral damage?

You end up with 9+1 instead of 5+1 for capacity,.

All about recoil and capacity. I was shooting some last week and it's a tremendous difference to a standard 12ga slug or buckshot. Much lighter recoil.

Was using an Opsol mini clip in my Maverick 88 so that mini shells would feed. Had trouble with last round feeding but does same with regular 12ga. May have to send back to Mossberg as I can't figure it out.

My brother has a Mossberg 590A1 and it works perfectly for him with minishells. No missfeeds or jams. In fact he keeps it loaded with minis for HD.

It is a "firearm" that is all.. no pistol permit required.. have to be 21 to purchase due to federal laws regarding PGO Shotguns..

Last year I took down a giant oak with an AK47 and a Galil. I cannot be sure what it cost in ammo; but it was in the hundreds. Totally worth it. I was beginning to wonder if it would ever come down; but when it did it was EPIC!

got one, it's fun to shoot. Just make sure your "friends" are fairly sober when they pull the trigger. This thing WILL HURT YOU.

It's more natural from a below eye level position and seems to absorb recoil better...

I shattered my wrist and had to have a screws and a plate put in. So if I try to elevate it to a position where I can sight down the barrel, it's more difficult for me, due to limited range of motion in my wrist.

But it's really more of a point and shoot firearm.. and you can get really good at shooting it instinctively from a lower position

Seems like it shoots well for having no stock if you grip it properly like you said below the eye. 530 in the video.
