About the forum logo that I changed before, I didn't think it was too bad at all. I thought that it was better in fact, just needed a little more work.

Testing this I seem to be able to add colors in the sig as normal , but you may have to add the color formatting again to old ones. Unsure. NYGuns had upgraded to this Xenforo version on another forum he staffs, but it's as new to me as it is to any of you. A lot of things I'm learning as we go.

Keep it all coming though. Nothing here is being ignored, even if not directly responded to.

Also, a as general heads up.. I'm waiting on a light style as eagerly an anyone , but I don't think we're even 100% sure this is one we're sticking with. It all depends what we can work out and what we can't.

Oops, my bad, I only looked under this account, not my general user one. There's a whole bunch of different signature related permissions and only the basic text formatting was on (bold/italics/etc.). That said, I'm going to hold off just for now on turning on a further extended one that allows for colors, fonts, and sizes though, until I talk it about it with the other guys. It's possible that was intentional on NYGuns's part, as we've talked about potentially limiting signatures in that way before. Long, oversized text, and colored sigs tend to be pretty annoying. We'll take a table vote on it.. maybe even make a user poll.
Personally, I'd want to do away with signatures entirely, but I don't know if that would be a very popular decision. I'm sure they annoy a lot of other people than just me, seeing the same thing over and over and over on every post, but user customization is important too.

Anyway, TLDR: it's not a bug, just not an enabled feature. I'll get back to you on it.

I think my android phone updated about the same time this site did.. both nygungorum and Facebook look like a Arctic Cat designer threw up on my screen.. bright neon greens and yellows everywhere.. this may be the work of the lesbian gay movement..

the new site does not seem to know i have viewed posts from mobile to desk top.

i looked at a thread on my phone. hours later i am on my desktop, i hit "new posts" threads i have already viewed on my mobile posted as new, without any new content being added since i say the posts on my mobile.

also, is there a way to make the lightning bolt (upper right hand corner)on the mobile site show "new posts" it shows "whats new" and then i need to click on new posts from there. the whats new does not take into account if i have viewed the thread or not.

edit. there is a button for new posts on the home page, but this goes away on all other pages. can we add this button to all pages?

With all due respect, that sucks. Who cares about what’s new to the site? That lightning bolt is an area that’s personal to us. Our settings and mail is there. It should be what’s new to us and not what’s new to the site.

This thread has been renamed to "New Site - Basic Dark" which is for talk about the now old (but still available) "Basic Dark" theme. You can switch to it using the style chooser on the bottom left of any page.

The new default theme is called "NYGF 2.0 (Light)" and there is also a "NYGF 2.0 (Dark)" theme as well. Pick whichever theme you like most.

I'm going close this thread for now and create a new one with details about the new (and final) styles.
