New site not working with TapaTalk

I tried it once. Horrible. All individual website features are nonexistent. Terrible experience.

I use Tapatalk for all my forums. Very easy and useful.

I posted about this problem a couple of times.

Having the same issue. I tried to log out and back in and I get some huge long error message. Hopefully a mod will look into it soon.

We're aware of it. Tapatalk is SO much worse in SO many ways than people probably realize.

I'm unsure at this time if we want to support it. Firstly because of it's very poor handling (or complete lack of functionality) with many of Xenforo's core functions and mobile experience, but perhaps more importantly because of it's deep security flaws; both for the server and the user.

It's a tough call because some people really want to use it, but I would highly recommend people NOT do so.

I'll expand on this when I've got some time, but I'm off to an appointment right now.

I honestly don't think I'm going to add it back to TapaTalk either, they are really bad and steal your content. I think we are better off without it. There isn't any advantage to it now, especially with the new software supporting push notifications.

Your site, your decision......but I for one really preferred TapaTalk to the mobile experience. I find even the new mobile version to be clunky and slower than TT. (Just voicing my opinion if you are keeping score).

Ideally I would have our own app, but for some reason there isn't a white label solution for XenForo yet. As soon as there is I am all over it.

Appreciate all the hard work. I think most tt users utilize the app for the convenience. Multiple forums through the same app and no popups or ads, not that this site has them. Everything mines data nowadays.

I agree. Tapatalk is great for us end users. I can’t say that I will be on here as much as I used to because of the lack of support. The fact that it’s optimized for the phone and you can block out most of the advertisements is a nice feature. But you gotta do what you think is best for the site.

Ads? Never saw a single ad here. Using firefox with adblock plus on paranoid android.

Unfortunate that tapatalk ian’t being supported. I was on the forum everyday theough tapatalk. Since the upgrade and loss of access theough there, I haven’t visited the site in over a month.
