New York Court Considers Law that Would Allow 800,000 Non-Citizens to Vote​

A staggering 800,000 non-citizens could reportedly be voting soon in New York City elections, as a court is considering legislation this week that would allow them to register to vote ahead of the city’s elections.

A top New York court is set to hear arguments regarding the matter on Tuesday, according to a report by Politico. This comes after an appellate court struck down Democrats’ efforts to permit non-citizens to vote last year.


If the initiative by Democrats is successful, around 800,000 non-citizens living in New York City will be allowed to vote in city-level elections, such as the upcoming mayoral election this November, the report noted.

If they feel that strongly about it, why haven't they become US citizens? I bet a lot of them are here as employee's of other countries and assigned to the UN. To hell with them voting here, just a matter of time before they'd want to vote in state elections and then federal.

I'm still a land owner, and therefore a taxpayer in NY state. I should absolutely be able to vote in state and local elections, for or against people that will ultimately have the power to create and enforce laws and policies that have a direct impact on my property, its value, and associated taxes, regardless of my state of residency and/or citizenship.

That single gatekeeper to participation in the election process would turn NY around.

Dems have control and desperately want to keep it while most have come to the consensus that Democrat Representatives are robbing the People blind while totally fucking everything up, and those extra votes might just keep them in their seats...a smaller and smaller portion of the populace still clings onto the DNC platform while ostracizing and shunning the entire Republican/Right.

Unless he is only talking about sales tax I am curious how illegals are paying income tax, which is where most of the "public safety, garbage collection, or housing" funds come from.

My sister likes to use this argument on behalf of her illegal now-ex-boyfriend (who still lives in her house). "He works hard and pays taxes".
He has no S.S. card and no citizenship. Just HOW does the IRS or the State of Arizona know about him to tax him?

H1B and other LEGAL means of residing in the U.S., sure, I could believe they pay taxes.
Not illegals.

I used to employ a large number of folks with an immigration status that only had to matter to me if they provided a SS card written in crayon, or an ID that clearly wasn't theirs. E-Verify took care of the rest.

They were all income taxpayers.
