On Monday, New York’s Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul celebrated her victory of getting mostly everything she wanted in her $237 billion budget fight, including an additional $2.4 billion in spending for migrants.
Hochul’s announcement comes on the heels of mass protests by illegals, mostly from Africa, who are demanding more benefits.
Hundreds of illegal immigrants, predominantly French-speaking single men from Haiti and Africa, gathered in front of New York City Hall to protest. They demanded better assistance, the right to work, and luxury hotel accommodations instead of the shelters provided by the city. The protest comes as New York City grapples with the challenge of supporting a growing migrant population, balancing their needs with those of the local community.

That's like $123 per resident, just for the newcomers. Total state budget places a $12,000 tax burden on each and every resident. I guess I wasn't even paying my family of fours "fair share".

NY never balances its budget. They borrow or put off paying it. The portion they do actually have money to pay for comes from those of us that can't leave or choose to stay. I'm sure they'd raise taxes by 150% if they thought they could get away with it. Only responsible leaders at least try to have a balanced budget and ours have proven over and over that they're not responsible. Imagine if us normal people balanced our budgets like NY - we'd be on the street because our homes and vehicles would be taken.

It's not even a slap in the face. It's more like a baseball bat to the head to NYs that not only are they giving free shit to illegals but then they go ahead and give them extra fre shit because they cry about it. All while citizens of this state and country go without food and/or shelter.

No other country would tolerate this, and is why you chose to come here in particular! Count yourself fortunate that the current administration is asleep. But this environment won't last for long... A new administration is soon to be, and things will change!

These crowds will no longer congregate when they can be rounded up and deported! No more BS protesting, no more shaping up on corners or HD Parking lots for work.

Every single person there should be pictures by the State Department as it provides evidence they have come not under asylum, but for work... They're demanding the ability to work, so it's an end game for immigration! Work Visas are tightly controlled! Again, here, these miscreant's are abusing the asylum system!

Can't understand how Congress did NOT provide funding to expand immigration Judges and personnel to accelerate processing these misfits so the 90% that will fail and be denied can be processed and deported ASAP!
