So....
Making a law prohibiting shooting people didn't stop gun violence.
And prohibiting felons from possessing guns didn't stop gun violence.
And requiring background checks didn't do it either.
But allowing cities to sue gun manufacturers for following the law... That's just the tool needed to fix all these problems.
I swear these people are retarded.
In case any dems are reading this, here's the answer...
Take anyone who refuses to live according to the rules of our society and lock them in a cage until they demonstrate that they can follow the rules.

You forgot to mention they currently fail to prosecute people arrested for gun charges and therefore fail to uphold current gun laws.
These new laws are targeted at law abiding gun owners and not criminals.

They open the door to negating the supposed "immunity" of the political elite.
If you can justify holding a business accountable for what someone does with their product after the sale you can very easily hold a politician accountable for what someone does with a Law they pass.

I wish you were right because it would force a reckoning, but society would become completely unworkable. I think they will stick to guns and refuse to admit the hypocrisy of this.
I get where you are coming from but they will see it as a new cash cow. They will use this as fear for many industries to bolster their lobbying incomes. So as soon as one industry doesn't pay up enough they will do the same thing to them.
