No serial numbers? I wonder if the the serial numbers on his SS card where also rubbed off. Newburgh is Orange County, that to my knowledge is pretty gun friendly. Only 1 reason to have an illegal gun.

Does it say the serial number was removed? Or that it didn't have a serial number??

A gun doesn't by law have to have a serial number. In "free" states you can build all the 80% you want into functional guns and not be required to add a serial number to any of them...

As darkness fell, and a chain link fence separating the officers and Lopez-Guerra, the situation became increasingly dangerous, police reported."

so the Chain link fence failed from the sunset ??
