City Councilwoman Cindy Holmes:
"We need some really strong intervention here with our youth I don’t know what the problem is,” Holmes said. “We have to find out what the root of the problem is. Nobody deserves this; nobody.”
Oh, you know what the problem(s) is, you just don't want to admit/address them.
Let me help you here:
How about controlling the animals.
How about people taking personal responsibility for their actions.
How about not popping out kids by multiple "baby daddies".
How about Fathers being Fathers.
How about getting a legitimate job, instead of dealing in drugs. (jobs are out there, just may not be real glamorous!!)
How about breaking up the gangs.
How about stop blaming the in-animate object, and going after the real problem.
How about a bit of community help for the PO-LICE when it comes to solving these crimes.
How about realizing ALL lives matter, not just black lives.
This list can go on forever!!
BUT go ahead and keep blaming everyone else for your problems.
Keep getting pissed off when some street thug gets himself shot by the PO-LICE, ...... yet you allow this daily violence continue!!
Newburgh has many stores and shops you find in more urban areas, so I'd think downstaters aka NYC refugees resettle near Newburgh to maintain lifestyles and easy cummutes back to the city.. I've yet to see a building or street commit a crime, it's all the people living and walking them, now near Newburgh..
Did Cuomo forget to declare Newburgh a gun free safe zone? Maybe he could have put up some signs at the welfare and foodstamp offices to alert the recidivists of the policy change?
