It is brazen when media and goverment delete posts on an event that literally impacted hundreds of people who were on the Taconic stuck between lane closures watching the drama unfold.

Updating or correcting information is a fact of life but I'm disgusted and appalled when the erasres come out.

Your info is also consistent with Radio transmissions which I was told identified 7 passengers and declared an MCI. There was also radio chatter on speeding, evasion, 115mph and fatalities.

It is also consistent with previously mentioned news postings. One news post we saw reported 2 fatalities ( 1 pronounced Vassar, 1 pronounced Westchester) , and another news facebook post we saw reported 2 fatalities 5 injured. Both reported scene as an MCI, both talked about evading police at 115mph. Both of these have been deleted.

Agreed. Interesting how so many articles are written with no facts only speculation but something like this is ignored or worse scrubbed. If/as I see any updates I will post.

That's what my wife said, that or Big Bird's kid. Part of me wonders that if there really was a fatality after a 115 mph LEO pursuit as originally reported, would someone prudently have the info disappear from the few different sources that posted almost in real time.

As far as I know they call off car chases at that speed. At least they do in my area. I guess every area could be different.

As far as I know every dept has their own policy on "calling off" a chase.It is often dependant on location,i.e. a city street versus highway,a crowded highway versus empty highway.It also would depend on why they are chasing a subject.Did they fail to signal or did they just shoot someone.
