Well, you could see this coming. And I can hardly wait for our Princess Qhuomo to follow suit. Hell, he will probably propose a limit of 3 or 4 just to not be outdone by NJ.
As I read it, this would apply to ALL firearms, not just AR's, AK's and such. I'm guessing that if this were to pass, that it would be illegal to sell any semiauto handgun with any magazine beyond 5 rounds, which I'm pretty sure would make the sale of 99% of them as offered by the manufacturers illegal.

i wish people still had the balls to tar and feather these thieving politicians. they steal our rights without any repercussions. its insane to me that people allow this to happen. we almost made the leap to the next level in 2013 with the unsafe. we had numbers, we had motivation but we stopped short unfortunately.

Well that would be a problem for me. I carry in NJ all the time. Couldn’t even carry a revolver if that’s the case.

Do you have to have special permission or something to carry in NJ? There are plenty of 5 shot 38s and 357 revolvers though.

I made this prediction a long time ago .
At some point in our future . ANY handgun with a magazine will be illegal . 5 round mags that takes out almost 100 percent of the handguns . We can say this will never hold up in court ... What if it is never allowed to get to court. Think of that National recip bill ...This makes it illegal for anyone to enter unless we carry a wheel gun .
I am just saying Get yourself a good wheel gun that you can carry in the near future . Could be a run on them in the future . IF this keeps up .

Their current limit is 15 rounds and no grandfathered magazines. I don't think they are going to pass anymore laws and help the republicans.

It's my understanding that the judge(s) said that loading 7 in a 10 round magazine was unconstitutional, not that 7 round magazines were bad. The 7 round magazine was increased back to 10 rounds when Cuomo/legislature basically saw that it would outlaw almost all handguns which wasn't their intended effect.

If it were to make it to the Third Circuit and be upheld, it would certainly constitute a split between circuits that should be addressed by SCOTUS. However, they seem to not want to take another gun case as of late.

I can carry in NJ due to LEOSA. I’m in NJ at least 3-4 times a month, especially in the summer and usually over night. My mother has a house there.

The Left is simply waxing their skis before they continue down the slippery slope of ever-decreasing round counts for "common sense" reasons. They know that crime is at "level x" with 10 round magazines. Once they get to 5 round magazines, crime will still be at level x. So, they'll push for a lower round count. Crime levels will not change. They will draw the conclusion that guns, with any round capacity, are the cause of crime. So...banning all guns is just a logical commons sense step.
The problem is...they are drawing a false conclusion and selling it in the complicit press. The correct conclusion is that we have a problem with criminals. We need to control criminals. Especially, illegal alien criminals. And...we need to exert the most control in historically "minority controlled" cities. Because....that's where the violence is.

anyone with half a brain knows that restricting round count does not actually limit the number of rounds a criminal will use in a gun, so it only restricts the good guys. they pawn it off as if they are trying to restrict access to criminals by forcing good guys to go without "for the greater good" but they know damn well its just one step closer to single shots, then nothing.

I am pretty sure he called the 7 round limit arbitrary. Like why 7, no reason, unconstitutional. So he said 7 was unconstitutional and if NJ says 5 is constitutional then it would be split and a case could go before SCOTUS.

You are wasting your time trying to inject legal arguments. U.S. Supreme Court does whatever it wants and they only use Constitution to find straws they can grasp to support unconstitutional decisions. There is no oversight to this institution. It is political and corrupt. Neither political party is interested in resolving 2nd amendment issue. This is why the court either refuses to hear 2nd amendment cases or renders Trojan horse decisions, like Heller.
