Non-Gun needed for Coyotes

I must strongly discourage coyotes from my neighborhood.

Sadly, I live in Communist Massachusetts and cannot use lead to dispose of worthless vermin.

So ... how about a Hand Gun, non lethal, laser guided.

Pepper Ball ?

Budget is up to $500 for a unit that can hit a fast running Coyote ... at least potentially.

Up to forty feet away.

A device that included an extremely bright flash to temporarily blind would be useful, but not mandatory.

Advice ?

Look at byrna but not sure of the range or speed. A good paint ball gun or air soft gun should do it.

I have shot them with a cross bow. Well one anyway. I was up in a tree stand and one meandered by. Shot it, reloaded, went on hunting for deer.

A good pellet gun could be your answer. Plenty of them available fractionally under your budget. Gamo makes some crazy .22 and .177 guns. I believe it's called the Wildcat is supposed to be whisper quiet. The thing with 'yotes is that if you put the fear of God in them, they tend to hang out elsewhere. My wife saw a big coydog strolling along our tree line at 2:00 in the afternoon a couple weeks ago. She said it looked healthy, just huge! My neighbor will night hunt them, so at some point he will either move on or meet his maker. If he plays nice I won't get involved. Thing is they just don't know how to play nice.
