Non-NY Residents (NJ, CT, MA, PA etc) Can Apply for New York City CCW Licenses

While I don't have plans to go to NYC, some of us who have had our pistol permits for decades shouldn't be held up on this bullshit.

Don’t plan to do anything in NYC, but it’d be nice to not worry about being jailed traversing the boroughs with a pistol that’s legal at the beginning and end points of my trip, per federal guidelines.

Of course, since I am somewhat pigment-deficient and not of the correct political affiliation, the chances of any application actually resulting in a permit are dubious at best.

NYPD is only ALLOWING you to fill out the permit form and ALLOWING you to give them your $$$$ ..

They never said you will get APPROVED !!!!!! .

Also, for anyone who applies, they must give you a valid denial or must approve you within 6 months at the maximum.

When I had to hire a lawyer to draft a letter to NYPD because my CCW was taking almost 10 months, she specifically quoted this in her letter.

You will eventually get the permit if you apply. The process has become faster than when I initially applied. I personally know people who got it within 3-4 months of submitting their application.

I know it was a joke when someone stated about wrong color and political alignment, but I'm definitely pigment impaired, a huge conservative, and labeled as a "white" person for being a successful Asian and here I am with a NYC CCW.

Of course! The money collected from the 'permit fees' will be used against you to fund their schemes at your expense.

Same reason you see cops writing speeding and parking tickets, those people basically follow the law and pay, and pay, and pay.
