Thanks! I guess I was just using the wrong search phrases. I didn't think to use stripped or dual charging.
So would it still need to have a standard charging handle in it?

Yes, it has both the knob on the bolt and the rear charging handle. Belt and suspenders.

I would love to get one of these to use for my SCR. I would just need to find someone who is more technically/mechanically inclined to put the notch in for the non-reciprocating side charger.
Considering how short the modified SCR BCG is I am not even sure if its possible to have a non-reciprocating side charger.

I spoke with someone over at Fightlite and they said that there has been numerous requests regarding a non-reciprocating side charger and that they will be looking into the possibility of that. But as of yet they do not know how they would be able to make that possible since it's only a half sized BCG since the strut is the other half.
I guess for now I'll have to be happy with a stripped lefty upper or making a side charger mod and take the dangers/pain that comes with a reciprocating side charger. I'm still traumatized by an old youth injury where I didn't clear my fingers and the M1 charger cranked my finger.

I don't know why it wouldn't work. It works with any normal upper. Why wouldn't it work with a side charger? The strut is only there because the recoil spring is located in the stock, like an 1100, instead of the buffer tube on a normal AR.
