The chances of passing national reciprocity is kaput, until SCOTUS rules that the Constitutions provision about interstate commerce and reciprocity IS the law.

Shit, that gunowner from Carolina broke existing NYS law and that is that..dumbass with pot goes to jail.
The possible, felon with gun, court exemption does not apply in this particular out of stater situation...we don't even know if he ws a felon, but he had a gun in this state.....like trying to board an aircraft with a gun in your pocket.

I have told a number of people I know with NY CCW's who still have residences in NY but are moving their domicile to other states about the NYS Court decision that allows them to keep their NY permit for carrying when they come back for the great summer weather, or just to visit friends and family. No reason they should not be able to carry in NY after having gone through all of the BS to get their NY permits.
As for actual National Reciprocity EVER happening in our lifetimes courtesy of Congress? I sincerely doubt it will happen. From a SCOTUS decision, - maybe, but still damn doubtful. Hell, the courts are still dragging their feet over the Unconstitutional NY CCIA, while other states are copying it and also declaring their own states to be mostly off limits sensitive places. The 2nd Circuit is delaying a decision as long as possible. IF we are lucky, SCOTUS might even render some kind of decision on it by 2025, or possibly later.
So, until then, people who can carry legally in other shall issue states will continue to get fucked by the anti 2A states like NY, NJ, MA, CT, MD, IL, CA and one or two others when carrying in those states.
