As far as I'm concerned if they 100% verifibly disarm and do not sponsor terrorism or export the means for others to commit acts of terror I could care less what they do and just leave each other alone, we mind our business and they mind theirs.
Maybe someday we Wil have normal relations with NK like we do with Vietnam now.

That's the important part. They've got what they want to further tests don't mean squat to him. If or when he feels froggy he can still take the leap to EMP anyone.

I get you. I'm skeptical too. But what I love is how the media is playing this up (or not playing this up as the case may be). If this is legit then it's the biggest diplomatic coup of the past 70 years and it was done on Trump's watch and direction (the supposed neanderthal no-nothing scumbag that is portrayed by the MSM). And yet we hardly hear a thing about it. Just more Comey and Muller day in and day out.

Either Kim jung actually respects trump and thinks he will follow through on his words and would rather make or deal, or there is some sneaky behind the scenes agenda/distraction/conspiracy unfolding.
It is interesting that NK jumps through all these hoops to develop nukes (in collaboration with iran) at great expense but then is so quick to be willing to negotiate them being willfully destroyed. I think there is a strategic disconnect somewhere in there.
But,
It really could be like an example of ineffective parenting. How often do you see parents telling kids to behave "or else" and the kid blows them off an nothing happens because the kid doesn't respect the parent to follow through on what they say.
Say what you want but previous administrations either were really OK or didn't care that NK was developing nukes because all They did was pretend to talk tough about it but didn't actually doanything.
Its entirely possible that Kim actually respects trump enough to follow through on what he says.

I do have hope but this is still the guy that is killing many of his countrymen for simply disagreeing with him, The guy that literally fed relatives to the dogs, and a whole host of other atrocities. He recently returned from China. Did they read him the riot act, remind him just how long the leash is, or do they have a plan for him to follow.
I still remember the Paris peace talks that couldn't even start because the Commies argued about the shape of the table for months.
But, I'll take hope, its better than the crap we've had up til this point.
