Anyone use them for the course to remove restrictions from permits?
Something I meant to do years ago but always had other priorities. Still carried regardless, always hunting season or heading target shooting lol. Figured things might be getting sporty in the future so might as well get it done.
They seen to be the cheapest and they are local. As long as the Chicom Flu hasn't shut them down.

You're in Broome County, correct? What are the requirements for having the restrictions removed? My original permit was in Broome.

Then moved to Dutchess. They don't have restrictions, or didn't at the time. Moved to Orange and restrictions were back.

Several years ago, I just had to file an amendment form and submit a letter to the judge requesting unrestricted.

Broome requires an approved course before letter submission. There's 4 or 5 places that are approved and they're all more $$ than NorthStar.

Just talked to them. The cost went up some, but they are now including a cert for 36 other states when you get Broome. Due to covid the class size is down to 5, unless you have a group of family or close friends who will sit together, then it's 9. Doing 2 classes a week. Happy to hear he's still doing them despite covid!
