NRA basic pistol near bridgeport, CT area?

Looking to do some of the basic pistol courses before actually getting my permit and obviously New York is out of the question. Bridgeport is easiest cause i could take the ferry right over. I'm generally pretty competent with firearms so i wouldn't mind taking something a step above basic pistol either, just something as a primer for my first time with handguns, but also so i can hopefully try out a few different ones after the official class is over if that's possible. Something with more range time/training than classroom would be nice at the basic level.

Just so you know, when I read the title I thought you were referring to Bridgeport, NY area. Sounds like that's quite different than what you are looking for lol. You may want to edit your post title or repost to clarify...

But you say you want to take classes before getting your license. Do you mean like you already have your paperwork in and just waiting to get your license

Or

Take some classes then start your paperwork?

I missed your original post earlier this month. I've heard good things about this range and they offer a lot of training classes. I'm sure you can find something here. It's a cab ride from the ferry unless you take your car across. Home

I have nearly a moth til i can submit it. Idc either way but its like thst it'll be after i submit the paperwork.
