Just like other insurance, PMI, and car insurance. I’ve been paying car insurance for 20 years and I’ve had 2 windshields replaced.

After Parkland the DFS and group Guns-Down again has gone after ALL the underwriters involved (Lockton Affinity, Chubb, Port Royal) with ALL of the available civil / legal costs self-defense policies. They specifically targeted USCCA's Self Defense Shield and others, not just NRA's Carry Guard. ACLDN looks like it may be the only self defense protection they have not tried to shut down yet (since it is more of a self funded co-op). It looks like Bloomberg has crippled nearly all of our future options to have "insurance" support for the legal and financial torture from the state's justice system following a tragedy where a legally owned firearm is used in legitimate self defense. They are not tageting the NRA. This is just another step in their well organized well funded and under-handed systematic attack on legal gun owners and the second amendment. FUMB FYNYS

Lefties are perpetually bizarre, in one breath they want to mandate that we have firearms liability insurance, on the other those that subscribe to it they declare that that insurance is unlawful.
The Second Amendment is the insurance policy against tyranny, they want to cancel that policy as well.

The state continues to spin the right of self defense as a criminal act regardless of the circumstanses. In their press release, the NY regulator paints the act of self defense with a firearm as "intentional wrong doing" and the act of providing or reimbursing financial support for bail or a legal defense during an investegation or charges as "improperly provided insurance coverage for criminal defense."

100% totally agree. My point, singling out the NRA, was they are the non insurance organization that claims to fight for the rights of gun owners. Where are they on this front? They're rolling over and playing dead. They aren't in the forefront putting together a legal team to fight this attack on the lefties insurance end around. They're waiting for the next atrocity to capitalize on donations.
If the NRA were in our court they'd be mounting an offense to address this next level of infringement.
So yes, I agree, FUMB, FUNYS but also FUNRA.

I'll be honest, I would buy the snake shirt. (Even though timber rattlers are striped, not spotted.)
I'm pretty sure the insurance policy had clauses whereas it didn't notice cover "criminal" use of said firearms. The standardization and characterization of "use" of a firearm to be "criminalized" preemptively can in my mind provide the basis to litigate against the state for this action. Penal law actually prescribes the "lawful" use of force, including "deadly force"... So all the policy needs do is note that coverage is applied to those act(s) meeting penal law section so and so, etc., let's see how the State can effectively make it illegal to insure a legal act?

If the NRA doesn't counter sue the State of NY is it completely indicative of their lack of protecting "ANY" firearm owner and demonstrates a clear and willful affront to firearm owners and abandonment of their cause! They should be lit up on all social media and more to bring attention to their culpability in feeding the anti-2A movement by doing so! State insurance regulators be damned!
