I'd be careful about encouraging or even cheering the downfall of the NRA. Yup, they've done a lot of bullshit... but we will suffer significantly if they go away.
Let's see look at all the wins that the 2A is getting...

They are a total non-factor legislatively and politically in NY and have been for decades and that is entirely by their choice. They do some good with legal affairs and through FNRA.

While there once was a time that their name was synonymous with gun rights, lately their name has been mud, and only evokes images of corruption, greed, and self interest.
They do nothing to further gun rights, or the protection of gun rights.
Were they to "go away" tomorrow most members will find an actual gun-rights-supporting organization to join. one whose name is not besmirched.
And most people will laugh at the Democrats patting themselves on the back for "taking down" one of their own.

The NRA still casts a long shadow over our elected representatives at the federal level. That level of entrenchment simply cannot be replaced overnight. I'd love to be wrong, but I think you're fooling yourself if you think the NRA going away would be a net positive, or even neutral, for gun rights. There's a reason the anti-gunners are cheering the NRA's downfall.
Let's see the NRA has been falling more and more on to the back burner since they advocated for a bump stock ban.... oh weird since then there have been a number of major wins in the courts thanks to FPC, GOA, and many many local grass roots organizations.
Constitutional carry is spreading like wild fire, grand standing 2A sanctuary state statuses are in the news every other day.

You're understandably upset with NRA's leadership. The post you included has a pretty good suggestion: instead of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, maybe you should work to install new leadership?
