NRA Safety course

Anybody know a good place to take the safety course required to obtain a pistol permit in Orange County? Maybe a particularly popular or accomidating one so I am able to network with county residence. I am new to the area from Ulster, and I am going to need to find County residence to sign for character references. I am hoping to sign up for both my wife and I.
