Chris Jacobs pulled a Grisanti and voted with the Democrats. He then got so much heat he decided to not run again. A primary is shaping up between Nick Langworthy and Carl Paladino. Remember this! Who was Chairman of the GOP when Grizanti gave Cuomo NY SAFE? Nick Langworthy. Paladino has to aquire 2000 signatures in the next 4 days to get on the ballot. Sorry, I don't trust Langworthy. I am at Allied Sportsmen Chicken BBQ getting sigs for Carl. To count. You must be a registered Republican.

Rep. Jacobs said he is pulling himself from the race because of backlash over comments he made last week about gun control. He said if a bill to ban assault rifles made it to the House floor he would vote for it.

"If you stray from a party position, you are annihilated," Rep. Jacobs said Friday in his press conferernce. "For the Republicans, it became pretty apparent to me over the last week, that issue is gun control. Any gun control."

Paladino will not win. I’m sorry not in NYS. He’s essentially Trump with real racist issues. I know people who know him and from what I understand he’s pretty racist.

Here is the results of the 2010 governor race when Paladino ran. New 23rd district is all red except Chemung.

Yes, it is all part of the redistricting thing.
But look at the map. Still no Buffalo or Rochester.
Small towns and rural areas.
Typical Gun Owners although many are FUDDS.
We have been burned by Grisanti, Langworthy, and now Jacobs. I mean I'm not as dumb as I look. If someone like Paladino wants to accept the challenge of knowing the names and labels he will be called by the press, then he has my support. With the population drain, the cities will soon become districts within themselves and then there will be the rest of us.

Yes, agree. As shown above in 2010 gov election map, this is the reddest part of the state.

The media needs to call Carl a racist because that’s all they’ve got against him. He has done more to benefit this area than most politicians. Although I believe he is a city resident so I’m not sure how that’s going to work.

Truth be told I loved the map that was over turned I would have had Claudia as my rep she is 2a BIGLY! She has the North west counties now.

Jacobs goes full-blown Mark Grisanti just before the filing deadline. (Out of the blue)
Someone else with political ambition is waiting in the wings with signatures at the ready.
Jacobs cries victim about those nasty gun people saying bad things about his Grasantiness and drops out of the race crying like a little bitch. The head of the State's GOP Party, Langworthy has his signatures while other challengers have 3 days left.
Sound like a song in the making: Things that make you go Hmmmmm!
Sorry, Langworthy is a snake in the grass. IMO
But move along there is no evidence of widespread collusion between Langworthy and Jacobs.

Langworthy WAS NOT Chairman of the NY Republican Party in 2013, it was Ed Cox, and Langworthy is a fire brand compared to the pussy Cox was.
SAFE passed from the Lies, collusion, and corruption of Senate Leader Dean Skelos who swore hours before doing so that there would be no vote on it.
Paladino is a Patriot; problem is patriotism has been equated to being a nut-job.
It's not my District, nor am I a shill for either, but keep the rhetoric honest.
We hold Elections to appoint people to represent our wishes, problem inside of that is majority rule wins that Seat, and after so many cycles of being re-elected, that power shifts from the People that elected to contemptuous security.

When Nick was chair in Erie County the Republicans won the county clerks office for the first time in 40 years. Took control of the legislature for the first time in 38 years. He is doing a good job in the state considering the scummy Republicans in so many counties he has to deal with. He stepped up to the plate to get rid of the weak Jacobs, one who has no blood for the fight needed. So much bad info is out their on Nick like FP1201 said.

I never had any representation. No one I vote for above city level gets elected expect the Republican presidents since 2000.

Langworthy was chairman for Erie County GOP back then. As was Grisanti part of Erie County. He was a snake then and he is a snake now.

Grisanti's vote did the trick. NY SAFE was bought and paid for by lying Republicans. Cuomo got $$$$ from Bloomberg's groups, Lots of downstate cash, he needed to find 2 Republicans that he could purchase. He went to Skelos, Skelos saw the amounts Cuomo was tossing around and said, I want some of dat!.
The two of them took the money and ran. Then Grasaniti said, I had to because they were going to take your guns.
You should be thanking me! I saved you from confiscation! The 2A community erupted. Langworthy and company, not so much.

I thought he was from Niagara County, not EC. Either way, he was and is scum! That is for sure.
