NY "asault ammo" ban

I'm not sire about them being able to ban certain calibers but I can see them taxing ammo. I think you will see them try to tax it like cigarretts. My guess is it will be so massive it will kill all sales of ammo in this state.

Heh. They already took care of that years ago. Ethanol accelerates the rate that gas goes "sour". Any gas containing ethanol older than 6 months is generally stale unless treated. Let your mower sit for a year with untreated gas and then try to start it. good luck.

I was talking to a cigarette supplier and nys taxes cigarettes 75% according to him.

Also their ban of certain ammo would actually do nothing since .223 and many other calibers are hunting calibers as well or will they not care and ban it all since you can’t kill that many deer anyway. They are freaking morons. Get out and vote in November.

Yea the opioid epidemic is fueled by the CIA as well. That's half the reason we're in Afgan in the first place. All that revenue created for the sanc cities.

With only a few tiny changes to the text of the history of tobacco wiki page, we can see how little progress we've made for being ruled by a king.

Despite this defeat the measure eventually was pushed through by proclamation from King Cuomo. Ironically King Cuomo had very strong opinions against the use of tobacco, pointing to the ill health effects and social impact of those that used tobacco. Despite these grievances the King was then able to capture import duties on tobacco and in exchange monopoly power was granted to the merchants.

The measures also prevented any out of state merchants from carrying tobacco.

The sheer stupidity of this is laughable. Next they will ban Marijuana, Oh wait they did. Hes screwing the state out of millions in taxes for zero gain.

There you go.
Since "assault weapon" is not a valid term for any class of firearm, and since most people in New York never registered their ARs, and since most ARs in New York are either compliant or removed, this "ban" has no effect.
Obviously, since they never specified caliber, any caliber that can be used in an AR or AR variant would be affected. So, .223, 5.56, .308, etc... It's all going to be limited, in their not so humble opinion.
In reality, New Yorkers, being who and what they are, will still thumb their noses at Der Fuhrer's edicts and continue to obtain and stockpile any and all calibers they see fit.

Chicago PD, the latest episode, has them finding a bullet in a person's head. One of the cops said "hollow point 223 from an assault rifle, probably an AR15".
