It has exhibited and continues to exhibit extreme malfeasance towards it's residents in regard to exercising their 2A Rights. It won't end, it will only mutate and morph into whatever new grotesque form they want to shape and mold to create the most arduous hardship needed to discourage as many as possible from exercising their 2A Rights...

Georgia Arms Canned Heat. Man that brings back great memories. Mid-Late 1980’s I think it was like $147 for 1k rounds of .233. Top notch reloads and out of literally thousands of rounds we never had a hiccup. That included brand new ammo cans. We were big into woodchucking then, and they also offered reloads with the 52 gr. Sierra match bullet. Bags of 50. Still have a few. My old Rem Varmint Special would cloverleaf these @ 200 yds.

Yeah, they actually had to go on here and read this thread to learn that NY gun owners are going out of state to buy ammo and that they had no idea that NY gun owners were going to say “fuck you” to their background check for ammo laws before that. I mean , who would have thought that there are people who own guns that live within a short drive of border states where this shit is not law. I mean I guess but I can legally buy all the ammo I want in any other state in the USA except a few that have a special card to do so. NYS can’t tell me what I can do in other states because they have zero authority to do so when I leave NYS boarders. Why can’t I say that on here? Do you really think NYS didn’t know we would go to other states to buy ammo to avoid this crap?
Again buy all you want in another state, bring an ammo can, lose the receipt, and then the boxes and NYS can do nothing to you. They will have zero proof you bought it elsewhere since I took it with me to shoot it in another state. What if a friend gave it to me in PA? Does this law cover that? Can I not shoot a friends gun and ammo in another state? They are not stupid but do stupid things.

Did NYS introduce a ban on private ammo sales? Is there a law that prohibits straw purchases of ammo? Is there even a NY definition of an ammo straw purchase?
I really doubt this bill is going anywhere but if it does, it is not enforceable and therefore it is feel good legislation.
I would love to see the NYSP conducting border checkpoints. It would reduce the number of purple ties available for traffic enforcement. It would also show NY is the Modern version of East Germany and East Berlin.
