NYSP will likely be lead agency on interdiction stops.........90% will get thru...............10% will not be so lucky.

I do not know how they would enforce this. I'm not required to ask for ID for ammunition purchases unless I believe they are not of age to legally buy it. But this is how NY works, they use the force of the attorney general of NY to THREATEN gun dealers of lawsuits knowing most cannot afford the legal fees to fight the communist NY government or the bigger dealers who do not want to spend tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees in fighting NY state. NY state has gone after many dealers and distributors with the threat of lawsuits and many just found it easier not to sell anything to NY residents. This is why it is hard to get stuff from Palmettto State Armory and others. Do not blame them for being "anti 2nd Amendment", blame your attorney general.

While you prevent NY'ers from purchasing ammo in other states, why not just prevent NY'ers from buying, renting, vacationing or otherwise finding homes or shelter in which to live in, in other states. Well I didn't say that when it was announced. We already had a national Assault Weapons Ban that lasted its full term and sunset. Had no sunset clause existed in the law, we would have it today nation wide. I actually don't know anyone that took that view. It was a done deal.

Did NYS introduce a ban on private ammo sales? Is there a law that prohibits straw purchases of ammo? Is there even a NY definition of an ammo straw purchase?

I really doubt this bill is going anywhere but if it does, it is not enforceable and therefore it is feel good legislation.

I would love to see the NYSP conducting border checkpoints. It would reduce the number of purple ties available for traffic enforcement. It would also show NY is the Modern version of East Germany and East Berlin.

I'm sure this didn't go unnoticed by the lobby groups who now believe they can get the rest in line and the ammo retail sellers on board. And they would. lets be honest about that. lol

If they had any balls as an industry they would stop selling ammo to LEO agencies not only only in NY but every agency nationally if even one state passed such a ridiculous and unconstitutional law. But we are easy targets to be picked off as we have no back bone, no organization and no balls. lol

I've only been to Loyal 9 and Fangani. Fangani has a huge selection of guns and ammo, but ammo prices were a little high. Loyal 9 is really nice. He has fantastic prices on magazines. Like the same as the internet.


Roll call is the gun shop and full auto range.


Depending on the direction you're coming from, there's pretty much at least one gun shop in every town in northeastern PA
