Do you reload? I generally load the bulk of my 44 and 357 mildly and below "magnum velocity". You could load specifically 38 spl and 44 spl, but that requires different brass. I buy lead or copper plated bullets cheap and load them with a fast pistol powder such as Titegroup. Their velocity is 1000fps or lower and hardly recoil. Much cheaper to shoot as well.

This could possibly wake up some of the older Fudds. What about some older people who hunt. I could see this stupid law affecting someone older who is in decent shape but does not have the strength to pull a 10lb trigger due to arthritis or some other joint condition. There is no meter on earth that can measure the stupidity coming out of Albany, starting with hochul.

These dumb law makers will get more children killed with this law.
Do they know why children shoot themselves when they find a gun? With a heavy trigger pull , the child can’t pull it with their fingers , they will turn the gun around to use their thumbs. They get so focused on pulling the trigger that they forget the gun is pointed at them .

44 special is code for 44mag short. A GF of my son, wanted to shoot my 629, she weighs maybe 90 pounds and has to wear skies in the shower to keep from getting washed down the drain. I was skeptical, but she insisted, so I stood behind her, no issue all, shooting 6 rounds of my 44mag "hot" loads, she then proceeded to shoot another 20 rounds of 44special.

She’s a keeper.
