Being that I'm in New York, I'm glad that I live in a very red area of the state. We're all the same kind of people here. Redneckish to one extent or another, some more than others, but if I have to be in New York. I'm fortunate to be here in a Conservative bubble and around like-minded people. That didn't happen by accident.
There are more cows here than people, more horses than traffic lights. more hogs than you get the idea. I have no idea what city life must actually be like.
It sounds like a shit burger to me but what do I know about it? When I read about city life from afar. It sometimes makes me facepalm, as in, how can people live on top of one another like that? People suck in general and the cities are full of fucking people. This isn't rocket science... Doh!
Besides all that, Hochul's an asshole but you all already know that. I'm just saying.

I used to like going down to NYC to goof off, see concerts, go to museums, and that sort of thing. When I was in my early 20s, my friends and I would drive down, visit a few bars and cavort with the locals and head home. This was when Giuliani was mayor. He was awesome. He got rid of the riffraff and panhandlers, and cleaned the place up. We never worried about anything more than tangling with the locals or getting pulled over by the cops on the way home. People shitting in the streets and punching people for no reason was unheard of.
NYC used to be a fun place to visit. Now it's not worth the hassle, and I wouldn't bring my family there.

For some reason, Hochul refuses to do the right thing and be tough on crime and criminals. That would start with eliminating the no-cash bail policy, and the sanctuary state policy, and also pressuring the DAs and judges to stop the revolving door of justice.
Hochul and the rest of the NY Democrats will try gimmicks to slow down crime but will not even consider any of the three points above. What's the next gimmick going to be? Arming the NYPD - NG with fire extinguishers?
Hochul deserves to lose the next gubernatorial election. In fact, the "accidental governor" should resign immediately in utter disgrace.
It probably wouldn't change anything for the better but just like Cuomo. I want to watch her political career go up in flames. No pun intended.
