Tried following the link at the top of the forum and it's asking for all sorts of permission I'm not comfortable with (post on behalf of me, etc).. what's that about?

I actually have no idea exactly what the deal is with the store stuff.
As of right now that's entirely @NYGuns 's project; as an avenue of course to make this place sustainable and let us do more things with it. Beyond simply knowing about it, I havent yet had the occasion to discuss it with him in any detail and find out much about it.
So, that said, we'll have to wait for him to chime in to clear up any concerns and such.
The permissions is nothing to worry about, it's just connecting your forum account to the store, which is run 100% in house on this server. The store is another platform so this just makes it so you don't have to create a new account at the store. It basically just ties your username to the store, that's it. The "post on your behalf" permission is in case you want to review a product in the store
