NY legal faux/fake muzzle device

Greetings fellow NY-ers,
How bout our governor? Anyways I wanted to share this product. It’s a fake flash hider/“ny barrel extension.” It’s essentially a block of steel machined to resemble an A2 flash hider. Mine is pinned and welded to a saiga for a barrel length over 16 inches. The exit hole is a tad over 762 and is a straight hole all the way through. The there are no “slits” or holes on the side of the device. Just machined a tad to resemble a flash hider. I don’t see a difference between this and a pinned and welded muzzle protector.
what’s your opinion on this? Legal? Or not legal?

As of today fake muzzle devices are not muzzle devices so it is legal. Tomorrow who knows.

in my opinion it would look like a pencil hanging out the end of a perfectly good rifle.
