NY state sending help to Syracuse to combat gun violence

"Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday that state police will expand patrols and operations and boost intelligence sharing with local law enforcement agencies in Syracuse. The Democrat says the plan also includes meetings with community leaders and elected officials to come up with ways to stem violence in the city's crime-plagued neighborhoods."
Ahh...the old "meet with community leaders" tactic. That's never been tried before (ha!). It also won't do any good since none of the community leaders are the ones doing the shooting.
The are multiple causes reinforced over many years. There is no quick solution to this type of societal illness. But that doesn't stop politicians who think outlawing guns will provide the quick fix they desperately want to demonstrate they are doing something. As the recent experience in London shows, remove the guns and the crimes with knives start to go up.

I think sharing articles like this is helpful to some folks. If you take a moment to clean up the PC newspeak, or add sarcastic quotes we're all in a better place.

Are these the Troopers that man the speed traps on Rte 81 north of the city or additional officers?

good thing its a safe .. my Mosin won't fit in the trucks roof rack but was on the back seat in the 4x4 .. .. but damn that single shot 20ga that broke loose in the roof rack at a stop sign assaulted me and hit me in the head ..
