If they had any morals, they would sign their name to the piece and give it the credibility such an accusation deserves. Instead, they go for a below-the-belt jab - not fair, not effective, but makes them 'feel' better.

If one of these scumbag lying sacks of excrement had the balls to put their name behind the accusations, I might believe it. But they don't. Because they're cowards and they're lying.

A few years ago a friend came to me about some serious issues he was having in his workplace and asked if he should send an anonymous letter to the Board of Directors about what was happening. My reply to him than was that unless he was willing to sign his name and stand up for it the letter was meaningless. Ultimately he agreed with me. I feel the exact same way about this.

We don't know if this is a real administration official or some pussy-hat wearing jerk-off from Antifa. Be a real man (or woman) and sign your name if you believe in this so much.

Here's the thing...

Half the country will think it's great and show trump is a bumbling fool who is unfit for office.

The other half (including most of us here) could give 2 shits. And pay this exactly 0 attention. Its another random sniper shot from a proverbial anynomous deep state hack in a bell tower. It doesn't matter. We voted for trump and love trump for who he is and what he's trying to acconplish. We can objectively realize that he is being continuously and relentlessly attacked from all sides including his own party and yet he is doing more good for America despite all those roadblocks than the previous 30 years of presidents combined.

Its irrelevant. If you voted for trump in 2016 hes doing exactly what he said he would and you don't give a shit what the media or pop culture tells you to think and you'll vote for him again in 2020.

If you voted against trump in 2016 you can still scream at the sky wearing your pussy hat and being a part of the resistance in 2020.

Awfully curious timing. This editorial comes out at the same time Bob Woodward's new book claiming that behind the scene the white house staff is in complete chaos. Coordinated attacks by the legacy media.

I'm not saying trump is perfect and I don't agree with those that think trump is 4 steps ahead of everyone else. But the media has consistently justified trump's criticism, outlandish though it may be. Congratulations NY times - you just gave trump more ammo in his claims about the deep state undermining his presidency. Did you really expect to sway people's opinions with this anonymous hit piece?

If this was mostly authored by one or two staff members, even with editing to mask attempts at linguistic style identification, the candidate pool of potential authors is so small I believe they can diognostically identify the author(s) / editor with a relatively high degree of certainty. Their ass is toast. In simple terms, even without diagnostic software, how easy is it to often identify many posters on this forum by just reading longer or multiple posts ... without even looking at their moniker?

Definitely yes. It helps to bring out hyperbole in the media and makes it easier to marginalize it. He did just that yesterday at one of the rallies.
