Wayne raises MILLIONS for the NRA, and has been overwhelmingly re-hired and approved with confidence votes at the Annual Meeting.
The NRA funded the NYSRPA Lawsuit to the tune of $2.2 million Dollars, so this amounts to less than 25% of the cost, that doesn't cover or factor in the Associations costs.

Sure the NRA has been influential and I'll accept that there has been Leadership (or lack there of) that did approve of measures we'd consider "anti-gun" We blame Democrats for anti-gun Laws passed, but let's not forget about the Republicans (not just RINO's) that signed off on horrendous gun control laws.
The NRA isn't some massive Law firm waiting with baited breath to pounce on every piece of Legislation that pop up, there are a lot of volunteers, there is paid staff, there are Directors from across the Country, it's a damn big Club and you can be in it to what ever level you can achieve.
I don't know what YOU think the NRA is or isn't, but if you're going to base current conditions purely on past history, then you're being ignorant.

How many of those Laws were championed by Republicans? Signed off by Republican Presidents?
When Democrats have control over the Levers of Government, they tend to pass what ever they damn well please, and Gun Control makes them giddy...Republicans talk big shit, but never come through.

Remember that all those Laws were voted on by Both Houses of Congress and signed into Law by the President irrespective of who or what organization blessed or cursed it.
Where do you think we'd if the NRA was dissolved? Even the largest, strongest second place association hasn't anywhere near the clout or membership. Remember that quip about "elections have consequences"? If you've no involvement, then you shouldn't be surprised by the outcome.

Just like dems, the republicans and the NRA need talking points. Solving our 2a problems does not help them keep our attention. Talking about it and blaming dems for not being able to get anything done keeps us voting and donating. Change my mind!! No different than dems not fixing abortion. Are you asking the same question of GOA? How about SCOPE? NY Firearms Association (whom I believe to be fraudsters)?
Tell us, who else is or isn't involved at some level against the State's anti-gun Laws.
Really, what exactly do you think these two associations are? Do you have any direct knowledge of how they operate? How they're funded? How many volunteers there are in positions of authority within the organization? They are not government agencies, they have lobbying power, but no Office in the Legislature.
Let me ask you this: Do you belong to a group or Club outside of the gun world ie Elk's Club, American Legion, etc.? how do they act on matters of concern?
